Old School LAX Freak
Who Made This Lacrosse Head ?
Judging by your email name, I'd say I've definitely contacted the right guy here. What can you tell me about the age and makers of these two Lacrosse sticks?  Brine I know of and they started making their sticks in the late 40's I believe. The smaller attack stick may be older I believe and uses all leather and sinew webbing. I'm fascinated by the unique history behind lacrosse sticks and how they were individually handcrafted by native Americans up until the 1970's.  Thus each stick possesses its own unique personality of game play as well.

One other twist here is that the Brine defense crosse has the name Cathy Clark written on the head in red ink and I am wondering if that might be the same Cathy Clark that is the niece of Charles B. Clark.  I have seen her comments on the web about attending the “War on the Shore” every year in memory of her Uncle Charlie, and about how Salisbury University has won the Charles B. Clark Memorial Cup for many years in a row now but I can find no clue as to how I might contact her (and there are a gazillion Cathy Clarks out there). Lacrosse was a rather small select group back in those days so there is at least a decent chance these lacrosse sticks belonged to the niece of one of the greatest lacrosse coaches of all time. She may even have gotten them from Uncle Charlie. That would definitely make my day.

If you happen to know this Cathy, might you be able to forward this request to her for me?  I’m not a stalker, just an old lacrosse fan trying to solve a riddle.  I’ve attached a picture of that signature that I’m hoping to confirm.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give,

Thanks
