Vintage Lacrosse Sticks

Who was Matthew Etienne ?

by Michael R. on 09/11/10

I have come across  numerous sticks that were hand crafted by M. Etienne & Son Oka, Quebec, Canada - some that bear the name of "Superboy", while others state Indian Hand Made 1978.  If anyone has information on this craftsman please reply to this blog to post your response.

Lacrosse Sticks & Heads from the 1970's

by Michael R. on 03/28/10

I created this site back in November 2009 after becoming obsessed with the evolution of lacrosse equipment.  I found it very interesting that sticks remained relatively unchanged until the late 1960's. With the 1970's came the birth of the composite head and the mesh pocket radically changing the pace of the game. Then over the next two decades came the open sidewall, the offset head, and the pinched head. I have loaded a ton of content to this website and plan to load a ton more.  I would love to hear from anyone who is willing to share their comments. Did I document all heads from the 1970's?
